Welcome to Solva with its sheltered harbour, sandy beaches, coastal walks, colourful shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. Situated within the Pembrokeshire National Park the village is steeped in history. Today it is a very popular tourist destination.
Solva has something for everyone and the Memorial Hall, set in the middle of the upper half of the village, hosts a variety of social, theatrical and community events.
Originally a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, the Hall was extended to the rear and stands as a memorial to those who died in two World Wars. Owned by the community it is run by a Management Committee.
Deceptively spacious, the recently refurbished hall offers varied facilities and three separate areas suitable for parties, events, meetings, weddings, exhibitions, fashion shows, dances and theatre. Its Public Entertainment Licence permits a maximum of 140 people. There is a stage and well-equipped dressing room. Theatre lighting and sound can be supplied and hired separately.
