Simpson Cross is a small village approximately 5 miles outside Haverfordwest and just 3 miles away from the coast at Newgale Beach. It’s easily located on the Cuffern Road just off the main A487 Haverfordwest, St Davids Road. Easily accessible by car or bus, the community hall is well signposted and easy to find.
The village has a Motor Museum and a gift shop but no pub, shop or church, although villages both sides do offer these facilities.
The Hall
Land was given to the community in 1988 and the hall was built shortly after. Outside of the building belies the good facilities located inside. Also an extension to the original structure provides windows and light to the rear and far side of the building, overlooking the play area which has recently been improved with a large playing field with lovely cut paths ideal for dog walking.
The hall has a maximum capacity of 150 people and is comprised of one large space of approximately 14m x 7.5m, with a smaller lounge area approximately 6m x 4.5 m. Which can be separated from the main room by a concertina sliding door, making it ideal for groups that require either a waiting area, for examle parents sitting area whilst a children’s activity is on or a lounge area for an event.
